Cl2 Monitoring and Detection
Chlorine gas (Cl2) is most often used for disinfection and sanitization in a variety of industries such as chemical processing and wastewater treatment due to its effectiveness and ease of use. However, it is considered a volatile organic compound (VOC) and is highly toxic and sometimes explosive if combined with other substances. Exposure to chlorine gas can result in irritation of the eyes, mucous membrane, skin and respiratory system and can even result in death at higher levels. Considering the significant risks of chlorine gas, reliable detection equipment is vital in the case of an accidental release.
CL2 Monitoring Experience
TAS has extensive knowledge of chlorine process emissions and storage and handling emissions for everything from bleach production to water sanitation. TAS brings a unique approach to chlorine gas monitoring and detection projects by taking into consideration the full range of requirements for a project and clearly defining the scope such that all stakeholders are in agreement.
TAS can be as involved or completely removed as necessary once your system is installed. We can provide training and complete handoff, or we can visit your site for regular preventative maintenance checks, usually once a year, and even occasionally provide free data analysis. Customer satisfaction is the lifeblood of our success.
